Who We Are

Debie Stewart

Debie has a deep love of family and service. She’s been in the legal field since 2010, and is passionate about helping others understand the law. She began her career working in family law as a paralegal in Houston, Texas, and moved up the ranks to an attorney in New Jersey. While Debie physically spent five years in Houston and five years in New York/New Jersey, her heart remained in Utah. When she was given the opportunity to move back to Utah and work in the legal field, she jumped. Debie is methodical and organized. She is always attending continuing education classes in order to stay up-to-date on the laws of Utah. She is more than capable of giving you peace of mind that your plans will go exactly as you intended.

Katie Kinikini

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Katie spent her summers at her family business at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, where she learned the value of hard work and family bonds. Because of this early experience, she loves and values her family deeply, and has an abiding connection to the places she calls home. Katie has been practicing law in Utah since 2014 and is delighted to be able to work with others to protect their own family, property, and places. You’d be hard pressed to find someone better prepared to help you and your family in your time of need.

Randa Vieira

Randa has enjoyed practicing law since 2004. Her experience ranges from tax consulting and criminal law in her native Brazil, to real estate, energy and immigration law, among other areas, in the United States, her home since 2007. Randa is a problem solver at heart, and enjoys taking time to get to know her clients to better serve their needs. In her spare time, Randa enjoys traveling with her family, binge-watching interior design shows, and turning everything she can into an Excel spreadsheet.

What We Do

Estate Planning

Creating an estate plan for your possessions, assets, and personal needs provides for your children’s futures, minimizes legal and tax consequences for those you leave behind, and guarantees that your wishes are honored even when you are unable to enforce them. Our estate planning services include trusts, wills, powers of appointment, financial/healthcare powers of attorney, health care directives or living wills, and funeral/memorial instructions.

Probate is a legal process by which a deceased person’s assets are distributed to his or her heirs. In Utah, there are two types: formal or informal, the main difference being court involvement. Regardless of the type of case, good legal representation is key to a successful outcome and in maneuvering the probate process. We can help you understand Utah’s probate procedures and represent you in any dispute that may arise over the estate.

A guardianship is a relationship between two people: a guardian and a protected person. When creating a guardianship, keep in mind that your guardian will become vested with the legal power and duty necessary to officially care for you and your property, or a protected person and their property. It is our job to help you identify whether or not your loved one needs a guardian, to select who that guardian should be, and to parse out details of the care that should be encompassed in the guardianship.
