Agibly has a new owner (Senior Agibly, LLC). While no longer owned, operated by or affiliated in any way with KSL.com or DDM, Agibly still offers free resources for older adults and connects them with professional care providers.
The purpose of a senior citizens center is to be a community focal point where older adults that are 60 years and over can come together for a variety of individual and group services and activities that reflect their experience and skills; provide nutritionally sound meals; respond to their diverse needs and interests; encourage their involvement within the center and the community; enhance their dignity and quality of life; provide various forms of assistance to enable them to live healthy and independent as long as possible.
Meals on Wheels is a service provided to those who are 60 years of age or older, unable to leave their home without assistance from someone else, and unable to drive. The Meals on Wheels program is available throughout Washington County and provides a nutritionally balanced meal & beverage (2% milk), following the dietary guidelines of the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U. S. Department of Agriculture. The Hurricane Senior Center serves the Springdale area. Meals are delivered Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 10:30am – 2pm. On Tuesday, two meals can be delivered upon request. On Thursday, three meals can be delivered upon request. This provides a total of five meals available each week. There is a suggested donation of $3.00 per meal.
The Springdale Meal Site invites you to come in for a nutritionally balanced lunch served from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in the Springdale Community Center multipurpose room each day the center is open for business (generally Tuesday and Thursday; closed on county observed holidays).
There is a suggested donation of $3.00 per meal for those 60 years of age and older and their spouses. For those under 60 years of age, there is a charge of $7.00 per meal. For reservations at the Springdale Meal Site, please contact the Hurricane Senior Center at 435-635-2089. Be sure to check in with one of our fabulous volunteers before entering the dining room.
Dial-a-Ride provides transportation to those who are 60 years of age or older to medical appointments, the post office, or shopping in Springdale, for a suggested donation of $3.00 one way or $5.00 round trip. The bus runs from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Tuesday and Thursday. f you would like to schedule transportation, please have the following information available when you call: your full name, address, and phone number; date you wish to schedule a ride; complete name & address of your destination; if requesting transportation to an appointment, provide the time you wish to be picked up at your home as well as the time of your appointment; time you wish to be picked up when finished with your appointment or shopping. NOTE: please allow a 15 minute window on either side of your requested pickup time.
For those under 60 years of age and disabled, there is a charge of $3.00 one way or $5.00 round trip.
